InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort

ABOUT THE VENUE

The Summit at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is the show-stopping venue that once hosted 21 heads of state and government at the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. An imaginatively designed space, it is a veritable playground for star architect Bill Bensley’s signature whimsy, including bold splashes of chartreuse green and the playful recurrence of the pineapple motif, a symbol of hospitable welcome reflected in the gilded models that adorn the atrium niches, the three-dimensional black and white walls, and the lush painted ceilings. Traditional elements are showcased in a spectacular manner, from the symmetrical roof and wall sconce tassels of Vietnamese temples, to the stacked lamp designs inspired by the tea pots of Bat Trang, a village known for its centuries-old ceramic art, and the nine-metre brass statue wearing the conical hat known as the non la, the centrepiece of the Summit’s lobby. The Summit’s distinctive black and white colour palette, also inspired by temple design, creates a striking backdrop against the verdant mountainside, while its imposing architecture, including adjoining terraces that open onto panoramic views of the sea, sky and forests, make the most of the Summit’s lofty location. Flexible meeting rooms have the capacity to accommodate a variety of event programmes, from full-day conferences to smaller breakout sessions. A collection of unique spaces, such as the palatial bright-yellow cinema with seating for 100, a VIP lounge with panoramic vistas, the glamourous M Club and the private karaoke lounges of the M Rouge for after-hours festivities, round out the inventory. About InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort Hidden in the myth-filled hills of Monkey Mountain in the heart of the Son Tra Peninsula nature reserve, the five-star InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is a work of art as much as a resort.
