Major International Airports and Visa Information
Macau International Airport (www.macau-airport.com) The flag-fall for taxis at the airport is MOP 13 and charges MOP 1.50 for every 230m. A trip downtown costs about MOP 40. Luggage is charged at MOP 3 per piece. Connections to Hong Kong, Shenzhen and other mainland destinations are possible via ferry, coach and helicopter; details are available in the airport's website Nationals from 47 countries including Portugal, South Korea and the UK do not require a visa for a stay of up to 90 days, while nationals of another 19 countries including Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and the US do not require a visa for a stay of up to 30 days. Convention Centres
Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre (www.macautower.com.mo) Macau's 338-metre tall landmark has an adjacent convention centre. The Grand Hall can seat up to 1,800 people for a seminar or 1,000 people for a banquet and is divisible into eight smaller rooms. The Exhibition Hall can house 100 standard booths. There is also a 500-seat theatre, an outdoor plaza for more than 1,000 people and catering services. Macau Cultural Centre (www.ccm.gov.mo) Located near the Macau Ferry Terminal with views of the Outer Harbour. The 45,000m2 centre offers a garden, the 1,076-seat Grand Auditorium and a smaller auditorium plus rehearsal roms and dance studios. The art museum includes five exhibition rooms across 4,000m2, a conference room and a multimedia library. Macau Fisherman's Wharf (www.fishermanswharf.com.mo) Located next to the Macau Ferry Terminal and Heliport, 10 minutes from Macau International Airport and the Border Gate. Facilities include three exhibition halls, five meeting rooms, two meeting halls, two VIP rooms and restaurants. The 5,260m2 pillarless cpmvention hall can accommodate up to 2,000 guests for banquets, 3,000 guests for seminars, 3,500 guests for cocktail parties, or 120 booths for exhibitions.
