Major International Airports and Visa Information
Fukuoka Airport (http://www.fuk-ab.co.jp/english/frame_index.html) Located within the city and directly connected to the subway: Hakata Railway Station is 5 minutes away, and Tenjin, the city center of Fukuoka, is 10 minutes away. A free shuttle bus service connects the Domestic and International Terminals throughout the year, from 0800 to 2200, every 5 to 8 minutes. Taxis are readily available in each terminal. Please phone the Fukuoka City Taxi Association for further information (092-852-7111) from 0900 to 1700 on weekdays. A car rental reservation is available at the Information Desk in each terminal. (Note that rent-a-car reservations cannot be accepted by phone).
