Major International Airports and Visa Information
Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (www.angkasapura2.co.id) Located 20km west of Jakarta's city centre. Only use licensed taxis such as the Blue Bird (blue taxis), or Gamya (dull green taxis) which charge 6,000 rupiah for the first kilometre and 2,500 for every subsequent kilometre. A trip to central Jakarta takes up to one hour and costs about 100,000 rupiah excluding about the same price in toll fees. Silver Bird (black taxis) and Gold Bird taxis cost more as they are Mercedes and limousine taxi services, respectively.

Free Tourist Short Stay Visas for 30 days are extended to tourists from Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Chile, Ecuador, Morocco and Peru. Visa-on-arrival is extended to nationals of 63 other countries including Australia, India, the US and the UK, which can be obtained at designated entry airports and sea ports.
